A Fantastic Week in Malaysia with Our Sister Branch, K9 Metropolitan Specialists Asia!
Last week, members of our UK team had the incredible opportunity to travel to Malaysia to work alongside K9 Metropolitan Specialists Malaysia — and what a brilliant trip it was! We delivered a seminar covering basic dog handling for both detection and patrol dogs, working with a fantastic group of students at all stages of their careers. It was great to see such a wide range of skills on display and to be able to share knowledge and practical experience through hands-on sessions and real-world exercises.
As part of the trip, we also ran a NASDU-style course to suit the Malaysian environment and operational requirements. It was inspiring to watch the students develop their skills and confidence over the week — and seeing so many successfully pass the course made it even more rewarding.
A real highlight of the trip was being able to catch up with old friends and familiar faces from previous courses and seminars. Reconnecting and hearing about their journeys since we last met made the experience even more special.
Of course, it wasn't all work — we also had time to take in the incredible sights, culture, and food that Malaysia has to offer. From exploring local landmarks to trying new cuisines, it was an unforgettable experience both professionally and personally.
We're extremely proud of everyone who took part, and we're grateful to K9 Metropolitan Specialists Malaysia for their warm welcome and hospitality. Opportunities like this to share skills, exchange knowledge, and build international relationships are what make the K9 community so strong. We're already looking forward to the next trip!
