Information copied from https://psak9-as.org/ about what PSA is - The Mission of the Protection Sports Association (PSA) is to provide an outlet for civilian competition in canine obedience and controlled protection, and to recognise achievement with titles and prizes, and promote competition with club trials and championship tournaments. PSA will endeavor to set a new standard for training excellence in the protection sports, and PSA shall encourage cross-over from other protection sports, to provide a competitive venue that will test the best against the best, and encourage excellence, sportsmanship, and integrity throughout the dog training community.

Our own trainer Tom, is consistently entered into working dog competition trials such as PSA to showcase his dogs as well as the love, effort and training he puts into his dogs. It is only fair to give him a special shout-out as he is one of our valuable team members. Tom needs no introduction when it comes to his strong reputation in the world of working dogs, his skill in training advance obedience is top tier (if we can say so ourselves!) Tom trains weekly to make sure he is on top of everything. Consistency is key when it comes to training dogs, no matter what!

The mandatory entry level certificate, is called a PDC, that must be achieved by all competitors before going on to the competitive levels of PSA 1 through PSA 3.

On Friday 16th December 2023, Rooster the German Shepherd, achieved his PDC with the highest PDC score of the weekend. Rooster will now be working towards his PSA 1. On Saturday 17th December, Tom's Bullherder, Harley, closed off her PSA 2 and will now be working towards her PSA 3.
